In the world of tennis, MT700 is one of the highest tournament categories of the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour. The “MT” stands for Masters Tour, and the “700” specifies the number of ranking points awarded to the tournament’s winners. It is designed for senior and veteran players aged 35 and older.
At the heart of this historic achievement is the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Khun Vitanart Vathanakul. Not only is he the first Thai national to receive this honour, but he is also responsible for hosting incredible yearly tournaments that have set a standard for what world-class tennis hospitality means in Southeast Asia. He is a long-time tennis enthusiast and highly skillful competitive player himself, having achieved the top 100 ranking in the 35+ category in the world and a winner of the ITF MT 400 in Pattaya. In fact, the latest ITF Masters Tennis Tournament held on the Royal Cliff property welcomed nearly 250 players from over 40 countries.
